In 2017, the director of “Witness Taiwan,” Qi Bo-lin, left this world, leaving be-hind numerous precious aerial footage assets. They not only captured the beauty of Taiwan but also held irreplaceable value for academic research, environmental advocacy, and environmental edu-cation.

“Speaking for the environment through imagery” was Qi Bo-lin’s lifelong mis-sion, and it is now carried on by the foundation. Given the copyright and gener-ational inheritance issues related to the footage he left behind, safeguarding the security of these assets and their public broadcast became a top priority.
